San Francisco Zoo's Beast Feast On Display For Visitors
SAN FRANCISCO (BCN) -- Local chefs and animal keepers at the San Francisco Zoo are coming together this weekend to serve Thanksgiving meals on silver platters to several special animals.
The zoo's Leaping Lemur Cafe chefs and the animal keepers are creating a smorgasbord of tasty meals for the chimpanzees, meerkats, grizzly bears and African Savanna Aviary birds.
Visitors will get to see what's on the animals' menus. Guests also will get the own treats.
The Thanksgiving Feasts for the Beasts event starts at 11 a.m. Saturday and ends at 3 p.m. Sunday.
The presentation is free with regular paid zoo admission.
