San Francisco Robbery Victim Shot During Attack
SAN FRANCISCO (CBS SF) -- A man was injured when he was shot during a robbery in San Francisco's South of Market neighborhood early Saturday morning, police said.
The shooting was reported at 3:34 a.m. near Third and Folsom streets.
The 27-year-old victim was walking when a suspect approached, pushed him up against a wall and started going through his pockets, taking his keys and smartphone, according to police.
The victim then tried to run away but the suspect pulled out a gun and shot him in the buttocks before fleeing, police said.
The victim was taken to San Francisco General Hospital to be treated for his injuries, which are not considered life-threatening, according to police.
