SF Voters Approve Proposition J, Will Raise Minimum Wage To $15 Per Hour By 2018

SAN FRANCISCO (CBS SF) -- San Francisco voters on Tuesday overwhelmingly approved Proposition J, which raises the minimum wage for employees to $12.25 per hour on May 1, 2015 -- with annual increases that would reach $15/hr by 2018.

With 585 of 597 precincts reporting, Yes votes outnumbered No, 122,058 to 36,801.

Passage of Prop. J would also lead to annual cost-of-living increases to the minimum wage after 2018.
