Police Investigate 3rd San Jose Shooting In 24 Hours
SAN JOSE (KCBS)--San Jose police are currently investigating a third shooting in their city in just over 24 hours. According to police, the latest happened around 2:30 p.m. on Tuesday on South Winchester Boulevard at David Avenue.
Responding officers found a Hispanic man in his 20's who had been shot. Police are not releasing any information about his condition nor are they saying anything about a possible suspect.
On Monday, police were called to 13th and Charles streets around 1:30 p.m., where they found a man who had been shot. The man died at the scene.
About two-and-a-half hours later, police responded to Denair Avenue where they also found a man who had been shot. He is hospitalized with injuries that are potentially life threatening.
Police did arrest a man suspected of stabbing a homeless woman to death around 6:30 Monday night near the Midtown area. According to authorities, the suspect attacked the woman with a samurai sword as she was sitting on the sidewalk near Walgreens on Meridian and San Carlos.
