Police ID Man Killed In San Jose Barroom Brawl

SAN JOSE (CBS / AP) -- San Jose police have released the identity of a man who was shot and killed during a weekend brawl outside a popular Mexican restaurant.

Police said Monday that 33-year-old Anthony Salazar of San Jose was fatally shot early Sunday after a fight broke out between two groups inside Carlos Goldstein's Mexican Restaurant and spilled into the parking lot.

A large crowd had gathered to attend a birthday party.

Sgt. Jason Dwyer told the San Jose Mercury News that the shooting does not appear to be gang-related as police do not want to speculate on a motive.

Dwyer said two other men were also shot and suffered non-life threatening injuries. They both were treated and released from a local hospital.

No arrests have been made as the shooting is San Jose's fifth homicide of the year.
