Phil Matier: Early Favorites In San Francisco Mayoral Race

SAN FRANCISCO (KCBS)- A new poll is out showing the early favorites for San Francisco's mayoral election this November.

KCBS' Phil Matier Comments:

According to the poll of 500 voters, conducted by David Binder Research and the city's Chamber of Commerce, State Senator Leland Yee, City Attorney Dennis Herrera, and interim mayor Ed Lee are leading the pack.

However, as noted by KCBS and Chronicle Insider Phil Matier, none of them have 20 percent of the vote.

Former Supervisors Michela Alioto-Pier and Bevan Dufty, as well as current board President David Chiu are close behind.

The poll, which took ranked-choice voting into account, was conducted between February 16th and 20th.
