Pair Of San Jose Murders May Be Connected

SAN JOSE (BCN) -- Police in San Jose said that a man was found shot to death in a sport utility vehicle Sunday morning, and investigators believe the death is connected to a shooting that left two men dead in the city on Saturday.

Officers went to the 1000 block of North 12th Street after receiving a report of a man down inside a vehicle at around 8:40 a.m., San Jose police Sgt. Ronnie Lopez said.

Arriving officers found a man in his 30s slumped behind the wheel of an SUV, Lopez said.

The man was declared dead from an apparent gunshot wound.

Investigators believe the killing is related to a fatal shooting that took place at about 8:30 p.m. on Saturday, police said.

Two men were pronounced dead of gunshot wounds at North 13th and Hedding streets, and a third was taken to a hospital with injuries that could be life threatening, according to police.

San Jose police planned to hold a news briefing Sunday afternoon to discuss the homicides, Lopez said.
