Oakland Police Arrest Attempted Homicide Suspect

OAKLAND (CBS SF) -- Oakland police arrested a man Friday on suspicion of an attempted homicide in August, according to police.

Police officers detected suspect John Tankersley, 57, of Oakland, driving in the area of 38th Avenue and Foothill Boulevard.

He was arrested and taken into custody for stabbing Robert Jacobitz on Aug. 9 in Oakland, police said.
