1 Dead, 1 Hurt In Separate Oakland Shootings
OAKLAND (CBS SF) - Two separate shootings in Oakland in an eight-hour span left one person dead and another injured, according to police.
Thursday night, officers responding to a report of shots fired on an Oakland street found a man who had been shot to death, an Oakland police officer said.
Police received a call at 8:42 p.m. about shots fired in the 800 block of 26th Street, Oakland police Officer A. Frye said.
Responding officers found a man on the ground suffering from multiple gunshot wounds, Frye said.
He was pronounced dead at the scene, Frye said.
No suspects were in custody and police were investigating the homicide, Frye said.
Thena at at 4:55 a.m. Friday, a man was shot while sitting in a parked car near the intersection of
Seminary Avenue and Tevis Street, police said.
He was taken to a hospital but his injuries are not considered life-threatening, according to police.
No suspect information was available because the victim was uncooperative with investigators, police said.
