Man Shot To Death Near East Palo Alto City Hall
EAST PALO ALTO (KCBS) - A man was shot to death not far from City Hall on Wednesday, according to East Palo Alto police.
Police have identified the victim as 31-year-old Scedrick Tippins, Jr. of East Palo Alto.
Detective Dave Carson said officers responding to reports of a shooting around 11:45 p.m. found Tippins near the corner of Gloria and Ursula ways, not far from the intersection of University Avenue and Bay Road.
He was suffering multiple gunshot wounds and taken to Stanford Hospital for treatment. He was later pronounced dead.
Carson urged anyone with information about the shooting to contact the East Palo Alto Police Department.
"We need witnesses to step forward and assist us with our investigation, because we can't do this alone," he said.
