Man Shot To Death In South San Jose
SAN JOSE (KCBS) — A man was shot to death at an apartment complex in San Jose, marking the city's latest homicide.
The victim, whose name was not immediately being released, was found at a large apartment complex in the 200 block of Lewis Road with at least one bullet wound after officers responded to an emergency call at 9:26 a.m., police said.
Emergency crews arrived and attempted to revive the man but he died at the scene, police said.
"When they arrived they found one adult male on the ground with at least one gunshot wound," he said. The fire department and paramedics attempted to revive the victim, but he was pronounced dead at the scene.

According to Kuchak the body was found in the building's underground garage. A gun was recovered and two people have been detained in connection to the incident and that the death is not gang-related. Kuchak did not specify what the motive was or could have been.
So far the year's homicide rate for 2012 is more than double what it was just two years ago.
