Man Found Shot Dead Inside Richmond Home
RICHMOND (CBS SF) - A man was found fatally shot inside his home in Richmond early Friday morning, a police lieutenant said.
Officers responded at about 12:40 a.m. to a call from someone who reported a 53-year-old man unresponsive inside a home in the 600 block of Chanslor Avenue, police Lt. Andre Hill said.
The man was taken to a hospital where he was pronounced dead and it was determined that he had suffered at least one gunshot wound, Hill said.
Hill said the victim was the owner of the house where he was found. His name is not yet being released by the Contra Costa County coroner's office.
No suspect information was immediately available and no motive has been established for the slaying, Hill said.
