OAKLAND (CBS SF) -- A man was shot and killed in East Oakland Friday evening, according to Oakland police.

Officers responded to the shooting in the 1800 block of Commerce Way at 6:45 p.m., Officer J. Moore said.

The man had already died when officers arrived, and he was found inside a house there. However, it is unclear whether the man was shot inside or outside the house.

Police have a description of a possible suspect, but are not yet releasing that information.
