Burlingame Police Fatally Shoot Suspect
BURLINGAME, Calif. (AP) _ Burlingame police say they shot and killed a man who came at them with a knife.
The shooting occurred around 8:40 p.m. on Monday after police were called to investigate a report of a disturbance on the street. Police Capt. Mike Matteucci says officers found the 20-year-old suspect, who has not been identified, armed with a knife.
He says one officer fired a stun gun, but the man continued advancing with the weapon. At least one officer then fired a service weapon.
The man was pronounced dead at San Francisco General Hospital.

Matteucci says the officers have been placed on routine paid administrative leave, as police and the San Mateo County District Attorney's Office investigate the shooting.
The officers' names have not been released.
