RICHMOND, BRITISH COLUMBIA, CANADA (ET) - The Royal Canadian Mounted Police confirms to ET they are investigating an alleged assault on a 12-year-old boy in Richmond, British Columbia, Canada, while the Canadian Broadcasting Corporation reports the alleged attacker was superstar Justin Bieber.
The CBC reported Sunday that the owner of a laser tag facility told them Bieber was thrown out of his establishment on Friday night after a 12-year-old said Bieber hit him.
"I cannot confirm any identities, but I can tell you we received a complaint of an alleged assault Friday evening around 7:30 from a 12-year-old boy's father," a Royal Canadian Mounted Police representative told ET Sunday, continuing, "He alleged two hours prior, his boy was assaulted at a local entertainment facility. There were minimal injuries, and we are still in the early stages of this investigation."
"We are looking to interview a number of individuals who may have witnessed the alleged assault," the police rep said. "The complaint came in as an assault, and we're investigating it as an alleged assault."
The police representative declined to comment on whether the alleged attacker or his or her representatives had been contacted regarding the matter.
