Investigation Into High Earning Government Officials

SAN RAMON - State Attorney General, Jerry Brown says he wants details on all local officials who earn $300,000 or more a year. San Ramon city manager, Herb Moniz made $359,669 last year. It's a number that has stunned some people in San Ramon.

Numbers from the League of California Cities indicate the city managers of Danville, Livermore and Sunnyvale also took home more than $300,000. The Atty. Gen.'s call for a review of local government salaries comes after it was revealed earlier this year the city manager of Bell in Southern California made nearly $800,000 a year.
