Good Question: What Is On Ships Leaving The Port Of Oakland?
OAKLAND (CBS 5) –- Container ships are loaded down with all sorts of goods when they arrive at the Port of Oakland. In this Good Question: Is there anything on those ships when they sail out?
ANSWER: According to Marilyn Sandifur of the Port of Oakland, about 57 percent of the goods that move through the Bay Area are U.S. exports. Those exports include produce, meats, wine and other raw materials. There are more containers going out of the Bay Area than coming in.
