SAN FRANCISCO (CBS 5) –- People have been asking about them since spring training. Some athletes say it's for real, including some San Francisco Giants. In this Good Question, we answer: What are those strange looking necklaces baseball players are wearing?

ANSWER: according to Sean Pagaran at Sports Authority, a Japanese company called Phiten makes the necklaces. The company claims the necklaces have "aqua titanium" in them. Some players claim this gives them restorative powers, but the FDA does not confirm this claim.
