Giants Announce 2014 Schedule, Get Early Dose Of NL West

SAN FRANCISCO (CBS SF) -- The San Francisco Giants will open the 2014 season with plenty of the National League West.

The Giants will start next season March 31 at Arizona and play their first 22 games vs. division opponents. Their inter-league slate includes home games against the Minnesota Twins and Chicago White Sox.

For the second consecutive year, the Giants will also play four straight games against the cross-bay rival Athletics as part of the inter-league schedule, with the first two match-ups staged in Oakland July 7-8 followed by a two-game series at AT&T Park July 9-10.

Below is the 2014 regular season schedule. Times will be announced at a later date:

# April: 1-3 at Arizona; 4-6 at Los Angeles Dodgers; 8-10 Arizona; 11-13 Colorado; 15-17 Los Angeles Dodgers; 18-20 at San Diego; 21-23 at Colorado; 25-27 Cleveland; 28-30 San Diego

# May: 2-4 at Atlanta; 5-7 at Pittsburgh; 8-11 at Los Angeles Dodgers; 12-14 Atlanta; 15-18 Miami; 20-22 at Colorado; 23-25 Minnesota; 26-28 Chicago Cubs; 29-31 at St. Louis

# June: 1 at St. Louis; 3-5 at Cincinnati; 6-8 New York Mets; 9-12 Washington; 13-15 Colorado; 17-18 at Chicago White Sox; 20-22 at Arizona; 23-25 San Diego; 26-29 Cincinnati
