Female Body Found Near East San Jose

SAN JOSE (CBS SF) - A Santa Clara County Sheriff's deputy said a female body was found near east San Jose Wednesday morning.

The body, which has yet to be identified by the coroner's office, reportedly may be connected to the suspicious disappearance of a woman in San Jose on Sunday.

The female body was discovered at Sierra Road and Skyview Drive in unincorporated San Jose at 10:45 a.m., a deputy said.

San Jose police revealed new information Wednesday, piecing together what happened to Valerie Calderon Casillas, 28, of San Jose.

Police said that when Casillas was last seen at around 3 a.m. on Sunday near Waverly Avenue and Orlando Drive, she was getting into either a silver Pontiac Grand Prix or a blue Chevrolet Tahoe.

Casillas was reported missing later that day, at 7:15 p.m.
