Fairfield Police Investigate Early-Morning Fatal Shooting
FAIRFIELD (CBS SF) -- A man was fatally shot at a Fairfield apartment complex early Saturday morning and police are investigating the death as a homicide.
Officers responded to reports of gunshots fired at about 2:50 a.m. in the Avery Park Apartments complex at 2000 Clay Bank Road, where officers discovered a man with gunshot wounds, according to police.
The man was transported to NorthBay Medical Center, where he was pronounced dead, police said.
Police are withholding the victim's identify pending notification
of the victim's next of kin.
