East Oakland Shooting Victim Dies

OAKLAND (CBS SF) -- The victim of a shooting in East Oakland Tuesday night has died, an Oakland police officer said.

The shooting in the 700 block of Bergedo Drive, in Oakland's Sobrante Park neighborhood was reported at 7:07 p.m., Officer J. Moore said.

The victim was on the street when a suspect got out of a car, shot him, got back into the car and drove away, police said.

The man was taken to a hospital where he was reported in critical condition before succumbing to his injuries, police said.

Police did not have any information on a possible suspect.
