Dramatic Helicopter Rescue After 74-Year-Old Woman Falls On Mount Diablo
MOUNT DIABLO (CBS SF) -- Emergency helicopter crews performed a heart-stopping rescue on Mount Diablo Sunday after a woman fell and was stranded on a cliff in rugged terrain.
A California Highway Patrol helicopter hoisted the 74-year-old from the mountain, holding the craft in a steady 50-foot hover.
WATCH THE RESCUE
The injured woman was flown to a nearby landing zone and transferred by ambulance to a hospital.
No word as to her condition.
