Best Restaurants With A View Of July 4th's Fireworks In The North Bay

The Fourth of July and fireworks go together like stars and stripes. And, as with any summer holiday, good food, cool drinks and great company are a must.  In the northern part of the San Francisco Bay Area, there are tons of places to go to see a spectacular fireworks display with your loved ones, and many of them include excellent eateries with gorgeous views of the pyrotechnics. Here are some of the best North Bay restaurants to dine in while catching the 4th of July show in the sky.

Situated across from the Golden Gate Bridge, Murray Circle in Sausalito is a lovely spot to dine and gives spectators a great vantage point of the San Francisco fireworks. Executive Chef Justin Everett offers up a simple menu with gourmet flair. Diners have choices of duck, beef loin, quail, and a variety of seafood options including Alaskan halibut and an ocean stew. Saturday dinner is served from 5:30 p.m. to 10 p.m.

Located further north in Sonoma, the Depot Hotel restaurant holds an annual 4th of July celebration complete with an oyster bar and buffet dinner.  The $90 ticket includes a bottle of wine, tax and tip, and part even goes toward a donation to the Sonoma Valley Volunteer Fire Association, who provides the fireworks. The 7 p.m. dinner service begins on the beautiful terrace where diners can nosh on barbecued oysters and house made focaccia, while the dining room buffet, offering everything from tuscan fried chicken to Italian cheeses, opens at 7:30. After a cheesecake dessert, sit back in the warm summer night and enjoy the show.

For the seafood lovers, Fog Harbor Fish House not only serves up some of the best clam chowder in town, but also offers a spectacular view of the Golden Gate, where diners can catch the fireworks show. Crab, calamari, shrimp, salmon, or a simple burger—you name it, Fog Harbor has it.  Located right on Pier 39, after your meal you can enjoy dessert with an amazing vantage point of the fireworks show.

If you are looking for a full-package experience on the Fourth of July, Prelude at the Green Music Center includes fine dining, a full concert with a symphony and, of course, fireworks.  And if that wasn't enough, the concert includes Broadway, film and television star Megan Hilty. With tables front and center of the stage, you literally have everything at your fingertips. If you are wanting to move around or enjoy the experience surrounded by like-minded people, there is a bar with a perfect view of the fireworks show, too.
