Although donning an unusual name, there's nothing odd about the food at By-Th'-Bucket. It's a full-service, Italian-Mediterranean restaurant and its pizza can't be beat. Order in or to go. "One size fits all" pies are hand-crafted with Italian-style pizza dough, homemade pizza sauce and four different kinds of cheese. The flavors range from the simple No Meat Th' Margherita – tomatoes, basil, garlic and fresh mozzarella – to the Macho Man Meat Pizza – Italian sausage, ham, linguica, pepperoni and salami. There are also "West Coast" Thin Crust selections. The average price is $15.50 and the pies are large.

Patxi's Chicago Pizza
441 Emerson St
Palo Alto, CA 94301
(650) 473-9999

There are plenty of die-hard pizza fans who must have Chicago-style stuffed pizza. If you're one of them, lively and vibrant Patxi's is the place for you. It serves up hearty, oozing deep-dish pizzas and even includes some Chicago "décor" in the mix. Relax and enjoy the wait – deep-dish pies take upwards of 25 minutes to bake – while Patxi's cooks your selection to order. Try the Chicago "Stuffed" – half Classic Meat and half BBQ Chicken – or perhaps you might like to sample the Greek artichoke heart, feta, green olive and red bell pepper pie. The restaurant also offers a vegan pizza – spinach, crushed garlic, red onions and Daiya vegan cheese on a whole-wheat crust. In addition, Patxi's serves traditional pan pizzas with regular or extra-thin crusts: choose white or whole-wheat flour and design your own from the extensive list of toppings. Patxi's is glad to supply you with a to-go box if you can't finish because you, like the pizza, are "stuffed."
