Bay Area Officially In Running For 2024 Olympic Summer Games
REDWOOD CITY (CBS SF) -- The U.S. Olympic Committee will make a bid for the 2024 Olympic Summer Games, and that means the Bay Area is officially in the running.
The committee announced the bid in Redwood City Tuesday afternoon.
Los Angeles, Boston, and Washington are also in the running should the U.S. win the bid.
The United States has not hosted summer games since 1996 in Atlanta.
