The Bay Area will see some rain and possible thunderstorms during the first half of Monday, the National Weather Service said.

The chance of thunderstorms is about 10% to 20%, according to the NWS. If a storm does form, heavy rain, gusty winds and small hail could be possible.

Rain is expected to taper off by late Monday.

Daytime highs will be mostly in the high 50s on the coast, and mid to high 50s around the bay and inland. Overnight lows will be in the high 30s to mid 40s.

According to the NWS, temps will generally remain cool to near seasonal averages.
