BART Red Line service on the Peninsula impacted due to "track defect"
Part of BART's Red and Yellow line service on the Peninsula was affected by an equipment problem on Sunday.
The Red Line was not running service between Daly City and Millbrae around 11 a.m. And the Yellow Line was not running between Colma and SFO. According to BART, three trains were evacuated near the Colma Station.
Around 2:30 p.m., BART said service was running again on the SFO/Millbrae Line. However, Red Line service between Daly City and Millbrae was still not running.
BART advised Millbrae passengers to get on an SFO train at Daly City and transfer to the Millbrae train at SFO. Richmond passengers were advised to board an Antioch-bound train and transfer at Daly City for a Richmond train.
On Monday morning, BART said a track defect kept the Red Line service impacted. They expected to have it fixed by nightime.
