3 Hurt In Separate San Jose Shootings

SAN JOSE (CBS SF) - Three people were injured in two separate shootings in San Jose early Monday morning, a police spokesman said.

The two shootings happened within minutes of each other, about two miles apart, but they were believed to be unrelated, said Officer Jose Garcia.

Police responded to a report of the first shooting at 12:37 a.m. on the 2000 block of Story Road.

Two adult males were shot while they were in the parking lot of a local business, Garcia said.

They suffered non-life-threatening injures and were transported to a local hospital.

The second incident was reported only minutes later, at 12:40 a.m. when a man arrived at a local hospital suffering from a gunshot wound.

He reported to police that he was shot while at a Vietnamese Cafe near the corner of Tully Road and Quimby Road.

Garcia said that police are still investigating the two shootings but are fairly confident that the two incidents are unrelated.
