3 Hurt In 2 Separate Oakland Shootings

OAKLAND (CBS SF) - Police were investigating two separate shootings that occurred Thursday night in which three victims were hospitalized, an Oakland police officer said.

The first shooting was reported at about 10:45 p.m. in the 900 block of Apgar Street, Oakland police Officer J. Kroushour said.

Officers arrived at the scene to find a man suffering from a gunshot wound, Kroushour said. He transported himself to a hospital and was in stable condition Friday morning, Kroushour said.

About an hour later, police received a report of a shooting near 72nd and Bancroft avenues, Kroushour said.

Officers arrived at the scene and found two men critically injured. Both were transported to a hospital, according to Kroushour.

Kroushour said no arrests have been made in connection with either shooting.
