Fire Department Says 2 Treated For Heat Exhaustion After VTA Train Breaks Down In San Jose
SAN JOSE (CBS SF) -- Two people had to be treated for heat exhaustion after a VTA light rail train broke down in San Jose due to a mechanical issue, officials with the San Jose Fire Department said.
Passengers were also being evacuated from the train as a precaution, according to San Jose Fire officials. VTA officials said nine passengers were evacuated from the train, but that no one suffered heat exhaustion.
The transit agency reported several mechanical problems on its lines Wednesday.
