2 Shot, 1 Critical In Separate Oakland Shootings
OAKLAND (CBS SF) - Two people were shot in separate incidents in Oakland Thursday night, with one victim suffering life-threatening injuries.
The first shooting occurred in the 1100 block of 19th Street, near Adeline Street, at around 10 p.m.
The victim, who is in his 20s, was shot in the chest according to police. Investigators believe he may have been the victim of an attempted robbery.
Two men were seen leaving the scene but suspects were in custody as of Friday morning, according to police.
About an hour later, another shooting was reported in the 700 block of Sycamore Street.
The victim was taken to a hospital in serious but stable condition. No word on the victim's identity Friday morning and no suspects were in custody, police said.
