2 Men, 2 Women Rob San Francisco Hostel Guest At Gunpoint

SAN FRANCISCO (CBS SF) -- A group of four suspects robbed a male victim at gunpoint and  fired off dry gunshots at the Amsterdam hostel in downtown San Francisco Thursday night, according to police.

 

Police received reports of an armed robbery at the Amsterdam  Hostel at 749 Taylor St. 8:09 p.m., police said.

 

The victim, a guest at the hostel, told police that he invited two  females in their 20s to his hostel bedroom and after leaving, the two females  returned to the hostel room with two males in their 20s.

 

The victim told police that one suspect dry fired two rounds from  a black semi-automatic handgun and another hit the victim with a tire iron,  according to police.

 

After a brief struggle, all four suspects fled the room with the  victim's cell phone and two paper notebooks, police said.

 

The victim suffered scratches and bruises to the arm, but refused  medical attention, police said.
