2 Hurt In Separate Overnight Shootings In Oakland

OAKLAND (CBS SF) -- Two separate shootings in Oakland Friday night and early Saturday morning sent two people to the hospital, an Oakland police officer said.

The first shooting was reported at 9:40 p.m. Friday at the corner of 50th Avenue and International Boulevard, Officer J. Moore said.

One shooting victim was hospitalized with a gunshot wound and was reported in stable condition, according to Moore.

The shooter fled in a vehicle and remains at large, the officer said.

More gunfire was reported at 1:09 a.m. in the 3600 block of Penniman Avenue, Moore said.

A victim who had been hit was taken to the hospital in stable condition.

Moore said no suspect information was available.
