2-Alarm Fire Damages Concord Home
CONCORD (CBS SF) -- Fire crews Friday morning were battling a two-alarm fire that damaged a Concord home's garage and attic, according to the Contra Costa County Fire Protection District.
Crews arriving at the two-story house in the 900 block of Autumn Oak Circle shortly before 9:30 a.m. saw heavy smoke and flames coming from the home's garage, district officials said.
Fire officials said residents were able to safely leave the home and no injuries were reported.
The blaze initially called for a one-alarm response but was upgraded a short time later to two alarms after the fire spread to the home's attic, according to the fire district.
