1 Hurt In Shooting Near Oakland School

OAKLAND (CBS SF) -- Police in Oakland were investigating a shooting near a middle school and youth center Sunday night.

Officers responded to a report of a shooting in the 3700 block of Coolidge Avenue, near Bret Harte Middle School and Fred Finch Youth Center, about 10 p.m. Sunday, police said.

When officers arrived, they found one person suffering from at least one gunshot wound, according to police.

The victim was transported to a hospital and was expected to survive.

No suspect information was immediately available and no arrests have been made.
