Oakland Shooting Victim Dies

OAKLAND (CBS SF) -- A man who suffered gunshot wounds after a late night shooting in Oakland died in the hospital early Wednesday morning, police said.

Police received reports of the shooting near the intersection of W. MacArthur Boulevard and Shafter Avenue at 10:33 p.m.

Two male suspects, one armed with a firearm, fled the scene on foot before police arrived and continue to remain at large, police said.

The victim was transported to the hospital, where he succumbed to his injuries shortly before 3:30 a.m., police said.
