OAKLAND (CBS SF) -- Police were investigating a fatal shooting that occurred late Monday night in East Oakland, an Oakland police officer said.

The shooting in the 2000 block of MacArthur Boulevard was reported at 10:20 p.m., according to police.

A male adult was found with gunshot wounds and pronounced dead at the scene, police said.

No suspects d been identified or detained, according to police.

Police were continuing to investigate a homicide that occurred earlier Monday night, reported at 8:56 p.m. in the 9000 block of MacArthur Boulevard, police said.

A man was found there with multiple gunshot wounds and was also pronounced dead at the scene, according to police.
