1 Dead, 1 Hurt In West Oakland Shooting

OAKLAND (CBS SF) - One person is dead and another is injured following a shooting in West Oakland Friday afternoon, a police spokeswoman said.

The shooting was reported at 12:33 p.m. and occurred near the intersection of 11th and Willow streets, police spokeswoman Officer Johnna Watson said.

The pair were taken to a hospital where a male victim was pronounced dead, Watson said. She did not know the condition of the other victim.

No arrests have been made in connection with the shooting and no suspect information was immediately available.
