1 Arrested, Parolee Sought In Pittsburg Triple Shooting

PITTSBURG (CBS SF) - A man suspected of taking part in a triple shooting in Pittsburg earlier this year that left one victim paralyzed was arrested when a search warrant was served at his home Wednesday morning, police said.

Kalif Anderson, 20, was taken into custody late Wednesday morning as officers executed the search warrant at his home in the 1000 block of Steven Drive in Pittsburg.

He was arrested on suspicion of attempted murder in connection with the Oct. 21 shooting, which injured three people, Lt. Ron Raman said.

Parts of nearby Buchanan Road and Suzanne Drive were closed to traffic for a few hours Wednesday morning as police conducted the search and made the arrest.

Investigators were still seeking a second suspect in the shooting, 29-year-old parolee Kenneth Thompson, who Raman said is considered armed and dangerous. Thompson also has a warrant out for his arrest in connection with an attempted murder in Antioch, Raman said.

"Both of these individuals have extensive criminal histories," he said.

Anyone with information about Thompson's whereabouts is asked to contact Pittsburg police at (925) 252-4980. Those who wish to remain anonymous may call (925) 427-7369.
