Gavin Newsom signs bill to boost recycling

A measure that Gov. Newsom signed Saturday is an effort to reduce the amount of plastic going into landfills. Fruit and vegetable juice bottles will require a recycling deposit. That will add an estimated 200 million containers per year into the recycling stream.
