Family of woman shoved out of Sacramento jail files civil rights suit
A 71-year-old woman was thrown to the ground by a sheriff's deputy outside the Sacramento jail. That incident happened in October and is now back in the spotlight.
The woman's family says she was in an active mental health episode, and the force shown when she was shoved out of the jail not only severely injured her but violated her civil rights. It's why they're taking the department to court.
