CHP kicks off maximum-enforcement period
CHP is starting its annual Christmas maximum enforcement period. It started Saturday night evening and then will go into late Monday night that. Means officers will be cracking down on drunk and impaired driving, as well as speeding. Last year, CHP arrested nearly 650 drivers on suspicion of DUI. Another maximum enforcement period will happen on new year's eve weekend.
