On June 22, the Summer Solstice Dinner and Auction benefiting the American River Parkway Foundation was held at William B Pond Park. 300 guests and volunteers gathered together to support the American River Parkway Foundation at the 5th Annual Summer Solstice Dinner & Auction. Proceeds benefit the Parkway Foundation's ongoing natural habitat restoration efforts along the American River Parkway. A dedicated portion of the proceeds will be used to build permanent restrooms at the Campfire Outdoor Educational Site at River Bend Park to allow schools to utilize the site for overnight activities.
