Woman Rescued From Burning Home In North Highlands

NORTH HIGHLANDS (CBS13) – Sac Metro fire crews rescued an elderly woman who was trapped inside burning North Highlands home this morning, according to the Sac Metro Information Officer.

Fire fighters and paramedics were seen performing CPR on the woman as she was transported to UC Davis Medical Center. Her current condition is not known but fire fighters say she was suffering from serious smoke inhalation.

The fire was reported just before 7:50 a.m. at a home in the 3000 block of Don Julio. Fire fighters say they arrived to see flames shooting from the house.

Fire fighters were able to stop the flames from spreading to nearby homes. They are still there making sure the fire is completely out.
