Woman Killed By Davis Train Identified

DAVIS (CBS13) - The Yolo County Coroner's Office has identified the woman who was hit and killed by a passenger train in Davis on Sunday night.

At around 7:30 p.m., Amtrak 742, the Capital Corridor, was approaching the station from the east when it hit the woman, according to Amtrak media relations spokesperson Kimberly Woods.

The woman is identified as Andrea Laurette Mrotz, 29, of Vallejo. The coroner's office will conduct an autopsy on Mrotz on Tuesday.

None of the 314 passengers on the train were injured.

The identity of the woman has not been confirmed by police.

It's unknown why the woman was on the tracks at the time.
