Tree Worker Dies After Severing Arm With Chainsaw
STOCKTON (CBS13) – A tree service worker has died after accidentally cutting off his own arm with a chain saw, according to authorities.
The accident happened about 8:20 this morning at 2916 Hammer Lane near Richland Way.
The 50-year-old man was working for Interstate Tree Service when he severed his arm with the chain saw. Rescue workers found the man on the ground.
"The injuries were so severe that he was transported but very soon after declared deceased," said a Stockton Police Officer on the scene.
OSHA is now investigating the accident.
