Thieves Cut Electricity Before Breaking Into Auto Repair Shop
CARMICHAEL (CBS13) - A Carmichael auto shop was hit by some thieves who knocked out the alarm system and security cameras before breaking into the building.
The break-in took place at the El Camino Smog and Repair Shop on El Camino and Walnut avenues overnight.
Sacramento County sheriff's deputies say the suspect cut electricity before entering the building, causing the lights to go out and leaving surveillance video in the black.
The suspect smashed through the back door before going to the cash register.
The owner says the suspects didn't get away with any tools.
It is unclear how much cash was taken.
