The Don Geronimo Show - May 16, 2012
Today, Don begins with the pre-show conversation Phantom had with Little Joe about Tracy Morgan possibly backing out of his interview with us next week. The guys then get into another fun round of "Who would you do?" Before Don tells us about the homeless guy he saw this morning who had an iPad. We also get a call from loyal listener Janice, who says she still lactates, even though she's like in her 60's. After a discussion on the greatness that was Bill Cosby yesterday, Dont tells us about his radio days in Providence, RI, and what "personality billboards" are.
After Phantom's sports update tells us about Stephen Strasburg's "ointment in the wrong place" incident, Don tells us about the time someone on his football team pranked him by putting jello in his helmet. We also hear a terrible parody tune about slow drivers, and Tom Cruise performing Def Leppard's "Pour Some Sugar On Me," for the musical "Rock Of Ages," which Little Joe is absolutely crazy about! We then have a little John Wayne soundboard fun, before Don plays a video from loyal listeners Jim and Kevin, who are interested in taking over the third spot on the show. Don also tells us about the Johnny Carson documentary he caught on PBS, and how great it was.
It's then time for another edition of "Stump The Stoop." Today, Phantom and Craig join Don in the game, and the guys take turns naming as many songs as they can from one decade in one minute. Although Phantom turns in a great performance, Don once again dominates. It's then time for the "Phantom News Hour." Today, Phantom tells us that Paramount has released a new "Anchorman 2" poster, Betty White is getting roasted by the Friar's Club today, CBS has rescheduled their lineups for this fall, and J-Lo tops the "Forbes Top 100" list. And of course, Don wraps everything up with a caller 100!
