The Don Geronimo Show - January 27, 2012

Today, Don tells us that along with his lunch, Janet packed a pair of clean underwear for him, just in case he has another fart spell like yesterday. Don also tells us that he's bummed about the NFL season being almost over, and that he gets this way every year. The guys then talk about Marianne McClary anchoring the CBS 13 news last night, and they wonder if this is going to be a regular thing with her. Don shoots a text over to her to find out. We then hear Dave's story about taking a crap at a home they were looking at possibly buying, and bringing his daughter Avery into the bathroom with him to use her as a cover up. That way he could say it was her using the bathroom, not him. Craig's ass tattoo has gone viral, and a radio show in Minneapolis was talking about it last night. Don plays the tape, and the guys laugh at how bad of a show it is.

We then get a visit from Joe Carnahan, director of the new movie "The Grey," which is out in theaters today. Joe, a Sacramento native, talks about his time at Good Day Sacramento before going to Hollywood, what it's like directing Liam Neeson, and how he handles critics. After finishing off the radio show tape, Don tells us what foods have aborted fetuses in them. The guys then talk about their favorite candies and snacks, which leads Don to pull out his favorite scenes from the movie Fatso.

After hearing a few new clips, including a possible Ferris Bueller 2, a weatherman admitting he hates his co-workers during his report, and a transgender woman getting stabbed by a syringe on TV, The guys discuss the GOP debate, and even play a few clips from that. We also hear of some of the things you can bet on in Vegas for the Super Bowl, and what the odds are, and the guys talk about Little Joe pimping his daughter to sell Girl Scout Cookies. It's then time to play "Stump The Stoop." Today, Little Joe compiled 100 of the greatest rock songs ever, and the game finishes with the closest score ever since the show moved to mornings.

The arm holding Dave's microphone then breaks, and Little Joe has to come in the studio to fix it. Don then tells the "Nick Toma" story, explaining his walk-out on the Good Day Sacramento set, but also tells us he still has no idea why he walked out in the first place. It's then time for the "Phantom News Hour." Today, Phantom talks about the passengers aboard the Italian cruise liner that ran aground each getting $14k, Patton Oswalt turning 42, Demi Moore addicted to Adderall and Red Bull, and the new movies coming out this weekend. And of course, Don wraps everything up with a caller 100!
